Mini Paintings

I’ve been busy working on a project that includes mini watercolor painting greeting cards.

I’ve been making these greeting cards as thank yous for a while now, but decided to step up my production in order to gain a better understanding of watercolor, and to use the greeting cards in another project I’m working on.

I’m not really comfortable using watercolor and I’ve been figuring out how to use it as I go.

The paintings pictured below are not in the order I made them, but I can tell a difference between the early paintings and the later ones. Watercolor has also allowed me to explore color schemes I don’t typically use.

I started this project right around Thanksgiving, so these are things I’ve painted in the last couple of weeks.

I have about 60 cards done, and am planning to continue making cards because it’s really fun making these.
