Half Marathon PR (by 20 minutes!) at the Drake Relays

Since it’s been a MONTH since I ran the half marathon I’d been training for since February, I thought I should probably share the results…

First off — I SUPER, hardcore, badly need to re-calibrate Nike+.

It was almost a mile off when I finished (so I run faster than the device tells me that I run).

Here are my results via Nike+
A graph that shows 12 miles with an 8:28 pace
… and here are my official results
I finished 23rd in my age group, 73rd in my gender (female, since they only do binary), and 321st overall. There were 353 women and 863 participants total. I’m not sure how many people were in my age division, but if I would have hit 1:45 (the time I was shooting for) I would have been in the top 10.
To compare, here are my results from 2 years ago, the first time I ran the race.
I finished 208th in my gender and 32nd in my age group.

However, if you notice, I SHAVED 20 MINUTES OFF MY TIME this year. So really, that’s the big news. I kicked ass.
