I don’t talk a lot on this blog about my professional design career. I like to reserve this space for more fun and creative projects. But recently I’ve won some awards for my professional work, so I thought it would be nice to share the hoopla with you! I won two awards for this year’s UCDA Design Competition.
I won an honorable mention for best t-shirt design.

The College of Design is made up of several different majors, which I represented in this typographic illustration: Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Retail Merchandising, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Product Design, and Interior Design. This design has been extremely popular with students, faculty, and staff, and I’ve had requests to make it into other objects, like hats and stickers.
My team also won an honorable mention for the best in-house team.
“Team” … of two—myself and my colleague Amelia. She is our communications director and is responsible for writing all the content for the designs I produce. Go us!
