Mark and I discovered Domacin a long, long time ago (almost 10 years!) when I was visiting Minnesota on a work trip.
Mark and I met up for dinner, drinks, and general hanging out (this was before we were dating). He took me to this cute little wine bar, which had a different name at the time, but it’s pretty much the same fantastic place.
I always thought of that wine bar as our first date, even though we went a year (to the date, actually) before we started dating, and I was definitely dating College Boyfriend at the time. It was probably the romantic setting that made me think that this little wine bar was our first date.
Either way, Mark and I couldn’t think of a better place for our wedding rehearsal dinner.
Domacin’s right down the street from our venue. They have a great selection of wines and they change up their menu frequently to stick to local vendors, so they were really good about catering to my ridiculous list of allergies and making great food for everybody.
We had 30ish people at our rehearsal dinner, and we took up most of the restaurant. It was a Thursday night, so they were happy to accommodate. We worked with Ethan, one of the staff members, to come up with a custom menu, which included appetizers and different courses. We were more than happy with the menu, the service, and the location.
I’m looking forward to going there again — maybe for our one-year anniversary.
