Happy almost-Friday! Yesterday I managed to roll out of bed by 6 AM and make it to campus with 15 minutes to spare before my 7 AM radio show (Not Your Dad’s Radio Show) on 88.5 KURE Ames Alternative.

You might notice something a little weird.
You know, that last song in the playlist? The one that elicits memories of the early ’00s that most of us might like to suppress? That was my Sorry I’m Not Sorry track. I definitely stole this idea from Mary Lucia’s 4 PM No Apologies track on 89.3 The Current, but after listening for years there was no way I couldn’t emulate this on my show. What qualifies as a Sorry I’m Not Sorry track? Anything that you might hear on a drunken Friday night karaoke session, or at a wedding with a terrible DJ. But definitely not excluding theme songs or any other ridiculous piece of music. If you can call it that.
