Thai Turkey Burgers + Kohlrabi Fries (recipe)
Happy Sunday!
Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. Our roommate is gone so we’re enjoying time together and have been grilling. I also did some baking, or rather, non-baking. And when I say “we” have been grilling, what I really mean is that Mark has been grilling.
Mark cooked up an interesting rendition of turkey burgers and I made some kohlrabi fries. I got the recipe for the kohlrabi fries here.

I love cilantro, so there was a lot of that involved in my burger. In case you’re wondering, the buns are Udi’s Gluten Free Hamburger Buns.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1-2 Tbs Thai Peanut sauce
- 1 t Siracha (add more to top if you’d like — if you add too much the burgers don’t stick together)
- 1/2 vadalia onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (fresh — if using dried, use much less, 1/2 to 1/4 the amount.)
- 1/4 c quick-cooking oats OR rolled oats pulsed in the food processor to a fine powder (to soak up extra liquid if you want to add more of the sauces)
Directions
- Mix ingredients together to form patties.
- Cook for 15-17 minutes over medium heat on a well-greased grill or in a well-oiled frying pan, flipping occasionally.
- Be sure to check if the burgers are done before consuming because you are working with turkey.

Do you grill? Cooked up anything interesting lately?
