Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Chobani Recipe

Jump to Recipe!

I was hoping to do a Humpday Blog Love post every week until Blend, but I didn’t get a chance to write this week’s post, and I wanted to let her review it before I posted it. So I will resume with the blog lovin’ next week!

Instead, I have a recipe to share with you.

For frozen yogurt. With Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. And peanut butter.

Did I mention this frozen yogurt has peanut butter in it? No? Okay.

I may have used most of Mark’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs from Easter to make this. I ended up eating most of the yogurt and was informed that I’m not allowed to use his candy for such endeavors in the future if I’m not planning to share.

Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 32 oz container of 0% plain Chobani yogurt
  • 1 c peanut butter (I used freshly ground, no added sugar or salt)
  • 3/4 c brown sugar (might want to go a little less if you use regular peanut butter)
  • 12 oz Reese’s Miniatures, or other peanut butter cup of choice, cut into small pieces — 12 oz may be too much for some, so use as much or as little as you like

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, peanut butter and brown sugar. Whisk together until combined. I used an immersion blender — I’ve found that frozen yogurt is creamier when blended together — so immersion blender is my go-to. You could use an actual blender too.
  2. Add peanut butter cups, stir to combine.
  3. Pour into ice cream maker. Follow the directions for your maker to finish. Note: the peanut butter slows down the freezing process just a bit, and this doesn’t freeze rock solid.
  4. This makes 4–8 servings … depending on how much ice cream or yogurt you consider a serving.

[ voilá! … if you just pronounced that “walla” in your head, you should leave now ]

Dang. I want to make some more of this RIGHT NOW.

I got my ice cream maker out and I’m not afraid to use it. Any suggestions for interesting frozen yogurt?

PS There might be a yogurty-flavored giveaway in your future. Stay tuned.

ALSO—Head over to Twenties Hacker today to read my post on the importance of strength training and when weight gain can be a good thing.

Not sure when it’s going to be up … but there are a few other posts up over there that I’ve written.

There are awkward underwear photos. I apologize, but it’s for the good of the cause.

And a photo of me when I was on the verge of becoming a fat kid again. There’s muffin top. Real muffin top.

It was the result of oh-so-many late-night runs to Dairy Queen and Dominos along with having easy access to a soft-serve ice cream machine with every meal. I’m so confused as to whoever thought that it was a good idea to have an ice cream machine AND waffle makers in college dining halls.

Fortunately for me, High School Boyfriend had gained almost 40 pounds in one semester in college and we both decided enough was enough and we were going to kick each others’ asses at the gym.

I digress. It’s a good post. Enjoy.
