I don’t have a photo of my Halloween costume just yet, but let me just say it’s pretty awesome.
I spent most of my time in my costume at Market Day yesterday. I think the costume helped my salesmanship.
Here’s a few pix from yesterday’s sale … it was a great [...]
The internets are no longer on hiatus.
Things I will be bringing you (in no particular order):
Megadeth/Slayer/Testament concert review August Market Day recap Murderdolls CD Release party experience 2 bands for Sweet Tunes Thursday White Bread Italian Boy Cooks Pita Pizzas Finished wallets and camera cases
So, I’m kind of a big deal. Maybe?
I’ve been in the paper a lot lately. Featured in Des Moines Register a while back and I’ve had my photo in various publications advertising for Market Day. And the etsy shop has been HOPPIN’ this week. Not sure what the deal is, but [...]
Yay … I broke down and ordered more fabric. I probably shouldn’t have because my stash is kind of ridiculous, but I needed some new stuff. I had a custom request come through Market Day last week for a black and white wallet. I didn’t have any wallet-worthy black and white fabric. [...]
Aaand Market Day. Take 3. Here’s me in my booth with a lovely new hairstyle and some wonderful new pieces. I was pretty well setup. I also was the FIRST ONE THERE at quarter to 7 and got an awesome corner [...]
I’m going to do a Market Day recap … but I scheduled this post earlier to show you what I’ve got that’s new this month. I have quite a few things!
New ceramics (posted a while back) and these guys:
Wish me luck! I’m sure [...]
Last weekend, I was at Market Day from 9 AM-2 PM selling my wares. Mark took some of his undergrad students that he’s mentoring down to Des Moines for the Farmers Market and for Market Day. He picked up some fabulous delicious breads.
He got me a cinnamon roll, which I decided to save for [...]
I’ve decided to make bags. Not just any bags, but super easy peasy awesomely fast bags. I won’t have them in time for this month’s Market Day, but I will have them for next month’s (assuming July doesn’t just breeze past me and slap me in the ass on the way out [...]
It was hot.
Sooo hot.
But luckily, my booth was at the cusp of where all the ventilation came together. Which was good for me. And people kept stopping just to talk, and would end up buying something. Which was also good for me.
I’m almost out of wares! I need [...]
Hey all!
Yesterday was the first Market Day of the season and there were a lot of changes from last year’s event — all of which I thought were great changes.
First off, the event was in a new venue. This venue had much better lighting, better ventilation and was all in [...]
