August Creative Challenge: Week 3 Recap

August 2017 Creative Challenge: Write Every Day

August Creative Challenge: Write Something Every Day

I’m continuing my July Creative Challenge! I set out to re-establish my daily writing habit and fell short of my goal. Supposedly it takes 21 days to form a new habit, so maybe if I can write 21 days in a row I can re-establish my habit of writing every morning. I can try! (Again!)

Goal for this challenge

Literally: write something daily.

How am I measuring “something”?

“Something” means a piece of writing that I review and edit before sending into the world.  This blog post counts (although I don’t do as hard of an edit on my posts as I should…)

What worked well this week…

Setting a goal to finish blog post drafts worked. I didn’t finish all of them because the concert list archive took me longer than expected. I Googled all the shows I could remember to find the dates and locations and got lost in nostalgia mode.

What to work on next week…

Since my goal of finishing blog post drafts seemed to work, I’m going to stick to that for this week.

What other ideas do you have for things I can write to help me re-establish this habit? OR Do you have any good sources for writing exercises/story prompts?

Love on ya, chimes
