Why not continue the momentum?
I considered two other things for this month’s creative challenge: a code challenge and a makeup-related challenge (hey, makeup’s creative, right?). Instead, I decided to continue the momentum I created by attempting to revise a chapter of fiction last month. I have a review this month (I think) and would like to have more than the minimum amount (2,000 words) to review.
One of two goals.
I like having options. This challenge requires me to either:
- Revise two chapters of the same piece—OR
- —revise the same chapter for two different pieces.
I mentioned yesterday that I’m taking my book in two different directions (romance and thriller). I like the idea of seeing how the same chapter plays out for each version, but I also want to move the thriller forward while the twists are fresh in my mind.
Regardless of which direction I choose, I want to have something fun for my group to read by my review this month.
Do you write? If so, what’s your revision process?
