Confession: I haven’t had a fast-food burger since probably 10th grade. I always get ice cream because I figure it’s just as healthy.
I didn’t eat a burger at In N Out Burger when I was in LA. Although, I thought hard about eating one because my food snobby friends said they are really good. But since we were hitting the beach after, I decided that with my food allergies it was best to stick with my standard (and safe) choice (the milkshake).
Those of you who follow me on Twitter probably know I’m writing an LA-themed YA / romance novel (40K words in, y’all!). Writing that has me thinking wistfully about LA, and the burger-that-was-not is definitely a wist.

Also? The rest of the secret sauce made for a quick tuna salad the next day (because I clearly omitted the ketchup).
