I love to bake. This is no secret. In fact, my long-distance-running days were typically fueled by freshly baked goods. One time I even started a “Cookie of the Month” club — the only members were my dad and grandpa, but they enjoyed it!
Although I love baking, I’ve had my share of Pinterest-fueled baking flops, so I stick to recipes from sources I’ve successfully tried. I’m hesitant to try Pinterest baking recipes that aren’t from (my) trusted sources: The Kitchn, Alton Brown, Barefoot Contessa, Smitten Kitchen, Pioneer Woman — just to name a few.
Anywho, I started a Pinterest Wins board for recipes that I’ve tried and liked. This chewy / crispy chocolate chip cookie recipe from Smitten Kitchen is on there. I made some for my dad’s birthday this week. In fact, I don’t know why there’s a reason I should make any other chocolate chip cookie ever again. This one is so perfect!
How can a cookie be both chewy AND crispy?
I don’t know. It’s magic.
Next time you’re jonesin’ for CCCs, check out this chewy / crispy chocolate chip cookie recipe from Smitten Kitchen. It gets my seal of approval for easy and yummy.
