Don Draper’s mezmerizing bedroom eyes.
So I realize I’m beyond late to this party, but damn.
Mr. Draper.

Mad Men piqued my interest because I’m currently immersed in 1950s-70s advertising design in my graphic design history class. I didn’t know if I could stand watching a show where John Hamm is the main character.
Why? That scene in Bridesmaids that he grab’s Kristen Wiig’s boob and asks “Can he do this?” And the fact that Jon Hamm seems like a complete tool in every. other. role. But Don Draper? Bite me off a piece of that.
But I’m hooked, and I’m continually trying to figure out which prolific figures Draper and his colleagues represent (if any). I’m calling it a study tool.
Mark’s hooked too, but I doubt it’s for the same reason.

Have you gotten hooked on any TV show (or character) lately?

Hi there. I'm Calee (pronounced CAL-e). If that's too hard, just call me Cal. Also known as chimes or the chimes. I'm 28ish, a designer, a runner, a self-proclaimed fitness queen, a craftster, a foodie, a music snob — some might call me a hipster. Here's the unabridged version.

We tried watching Mad Men for a while . . . but then got addicted to Lost. We watched from beginning to end–loved that show. After Lost, we started hunting for something else, but nothing grabbed our attention until a couple of weeks ago. Downton Abbey! We’re totally hooked. And absolutely crack up over Grand Mama. Love her.

Lol I repeat my comment yesterday: I must start watching Mad Men.
I got super hooked on American Horror Story this year. Unfortunately, b/f did not follow my enthusiasm. Oh well.

Our new house’s family room has a full bar setup. I’m talking six full size swiveling stools, dark wood, (fake) black leather edges, mirrored liquor shelf, overhead accent lighting, the works. Joanna calls it The Don Draper Room. I just want to sit in there 24/7 with some Dean Martin crooning, an unbuttoned dress shirt, undone bowtie, and my thoughts.
My point: A few weeks ago I went to a VERY manly website and bought myself a VERY cool set of 60′s vintage roly poly glasses that now live there. Hard to imagine I could’ve enjoyed Mad Men more. With a couple fingers of good bourbon in kick-ass glasses, I do.
And fine… Jon Hamm is dreamy.
And fine… I bought the glasses off Etsy.

ummmmmmm … that is amazing.
we love kickass glasses here. Mark’s drink of choice has always been a manhattan or old fashioned.
And fine … Mad Men makes me want to be a 1950s advertiser.
White Collar. I became obsessed in November. It was pretty much the only thing I did over winter break…and then I had to find the episodes online wherever I could in order to catch up. Matt Bomer is beautiful. Also, Tiffany Thiessen is in it. I have a newfound (rekindled?) love for the former Kelly Kapowski.

ahhhh Kelly Kapowski!
I’m also going through the 90210 series (original and crappy new one). The original one is slow-going b/c it’s only on Free-tv-project.com and takes forever to load. But I can’t wait to get to get to Tiffani Amber Theissen’s character (mostly because I think she replaces Shannen Doherty and I don’t like her).
[...] you haven’t met me, I must tell you one thing: my passion for baking is almost as strong as my current simmering infatuation with Don Draper. I love baking. I used to bake almost daily. I can whip up a cookie out of almost [...]
