Tu-tu-tu-Tuesday \\ Chobani Quinoa Chicken Salad

This chicken salad was born from laziness and cheapness. I was making chicken salad for my lunches for the week and I didn’t have anything big enough to store it in the fridge. I did, however, have a giant bowl storing quinoa leftover from the night before. So, guess what happened?


  • 1 c grapes
  • 1 c celery
  • 1 c cooked quinoa
  • 2/3 c plain 0% chobani
  • 2 T dijon mustard
  • 1 lb cooked shredded boneless, skinless chicken breast


  1. Shred chicken and put in a large bowl with quinoa.
  2. Add celery.
  3. Add grapes. I like black grapes.
  4. And add mustard + chobani.
  5. Stir to combine. Chill before serving.
WARNING: If you are going to use quinoa, it is EXTREMELY important to wash it properly before using. Quinoa has a small amount of toxic substance on it that can cause you to develop an allergy to the grain as a whole if you ingest the substance a few times. I cannot eat quinoa any more because I did not know this. It is not on any packaging, and I found out after having several allergic reactions.

  1. YUM. I love chicken salad- and I love grapes in it! I’m a huge mustard fan too.
    And the idea of adding quinoa- freakin’ awesome. I’ll be trying this out as soon as I’m motivated to cook some chicken breasts.

  2. I love this!! I always used to do chicken salad, mustard and grapes on a sandwich thin. I never thought of adding quinoa and greek yogurt. I am going to do this to top salads with soon 🙂
