Yes, it’s that time of year again: let’s get fit at work.

At Drake we do a thing called “The Resolution Solution” in which we form teams of 5 and get points for a bunch of different healthy activities.  It’s a lot of fun and it’s nice to have 4 other people telling you, “yes, you should probably go for a run/walk/jog/bike ride over lunch” and “no, don’t eat that donut!!”

Anyway, today was our first weigh in. Surprisingly I was the same as I was last year. For some reason I thought I’d lost weight, but I guess I must have just gotten used to being 10 heavier.  It took a while, but I guess I’m finally used to it.  I would be a lot happier if I toned up though, but I’ve finally decided that losing 5 pounds isn’t going to make me happy because then I’ll just want to lose 5 more… and then 5 more…and so on.

So this year’s goals: Tone up, get flexible and be a little more active…oh and have fun while doing it!

I checked out a stretching DVD.  I think today I’m going to run 6-8 miles (outside since it’s nice), lift a little bit and do the DVD.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’m excited to get started.
